Kickstarter had its strongest year in video games in 2024, the best since almost a decade ago, which in turn translates to more projects, a bigger backer community, and more funding.  In recent years, many changes and new challenges have emerged, especially for small creators and indie developers. Discoverability has become the Holy Grail for video game developers, while the market remains a bumpy ride for creative individuals. At the same time, small to medium-sized video game creators are standing tall against industry giants. By sharing data, insights, and showcasing new tools and features, this workshop explores how Kickstarter continues to be a valuable market validation and viable funding solution for video game developers.

For this workshop online registration is not required to attend. The spots will be assigned on a first-come first-served basis, so make sure to be at the workshop location at least 10 minutes before the starting time.
