About me
Elina Roinioti is an Assistant Professor of Interactive Digital Storytelling at the University of the Peloponnese in Greece, and for the past five years, she’s also been part of Kickstarter’s European Games Outreach team. She’s spent over a decade moving between indie studios, game festivals, and auditoriums —curating events, designing stories and playful experiences and helping creators bring their games to life. She served as a scientific advisor on audiovisual policy for Greece’s Ministry of Digital Policy, where she focused on empowering the local game development scene, and she directed the Athens Games Festival for two years.Her academic work bridges interactive storytelling, performative arts, game production, and cultural studies. In 2025, she was elected Vice President of the Digital Games Research Association (DiGRA).
